Soft Companionship in a loud world

Colloquium means “to talk together” in Latin. Its a one on one private text-based companionship service held on Whatsapp, created for people who feel overwhelmed, tired, lonely, or simply in need of somewhere quiet to rest for a while. It isn’t a place for fixing or judgment. It’s a quiet space with soft companionship, steady presence, and calm in a world that often feels too loud.Sometimes you just want to share something with someone, a sincere, pressure free companionship type of connection.Sometimes you might have a thought or secret you don't want to tell your family, friends, or anyone else.Sometimes you just want someone discussing a topic that you're interested in together.Work, business, personal worries, emotional unloading, vents. Or Maybe you just want someone you can return to from time to time. Someone who isn't particularly close to your life, but is still present when needed. It can be anything. Just pure presence.People who visits here:
Feel overstimulated or emotionally drained
Feel lonely, even when surrounded by others
Carry thoughts they don’t want to burden family, friends or anyone one else with
Want a peaceful space to speak freely without pressure or judgement
Just want someone's quiet presence without expectation
Or simply want someone to vent out or talk to
My name's Shiro, I'm Malaysian, and the solo creator and operator of Colloquium. I'm not a professional advisor of any kind but just a normal person.Personally I'm a little bit more towards the introverted side, and I spend most of my time alone in solitude. I don't use social media much and I'm pretty out of touch with the fast-moving world, so I won't be sharing much about myself. But I can share why I created Colloquium.A long time ago I stumbled upon a Japanese Youtube video about a similar companionship service. Something about it resonated with me in a spiritually, introspective way. It made me realise there are people out there who needs people to talk to, whether because of social pressure and expectation, emotional fatigue, loneliness even when surrounded around others, or just simply wanting a safe outlet to vent.Another thing that influenced me was a personal experience with a friend I wasn't particularly close to. She would reach out occasionally, sometimes months apart, sometimes years, and she told me that our conversations helped her through a difficult period because she didn't have anyone in her life who could offer a gentle reflection or were unable to connect with her on a deeper level.I personally feel like I've not done much for her, but her appreciation stayed with me. I'm grateful for it, it gave me the confidence and supported my decision to try creating this service.I wish to help others out there who requires something similar, valuing the importance of authenticity and sincerity. Something that isn't powered by AI, isn't shallow, and isn't based on performative "internet" conversations. Just an honest human presence. If this space can make even a small positive difference for someone out there, then I think it's worth creating.
The service offers 4 different kind of tiers
Quiet Hour
Quiet Window
Weekly Space
Monthly Space
The different tiers can be considered depending on your needs. The first 2 tiers (Quiet Hour & Quiet Window) work the same way. They are focused, one-on-one live sessions with a specific time-slot booked from my available hours. These sessions get priority over the upper 2 tiers. The upper 2 tiers (Weekly Space & Monthly Space) are asynchronous. You get access the instant you purchase. There’s no booking or fixed time involved. You can message anytime within my available hours, and I reply whenever I’m free. It’s a slower-paced, long-term style of companionship.

The rhythm is relaxed and natural, not rushed, not intense, just a quiet presence you can return to whenever you need.As a monthly member, you can also request time outside my usual hours for gentle connection or shared activities (like playing a simple game together, exploring a topic, or spending time doing something online side-by-side as long as I’m comfortable with it). I’ll join whenever I’m free.
It isn’t an on-call service, but monthly members receive this extra flexibility. This tier is asynchronous and text-based, with soft priority over Weekly Space clients. (Quiet Hour and Quiet Window sessions still remain first in line.)To preserve emotional presence and quality, Monthly Space is limited to 2 members at a time.Duration: 30 daysThis space is ideal for:

Is this therapy or mental-health counseling?
No. Colloquium isn’t therapy, and I’m not a therapist. I don’t have any professional certification for counseling or advice. This is a gentle, conversational space, a place to talk, unwind, reflect, or simply have company. If you need professional or crisis support, please reach out to qualified services.I can share thoughts or perspective as a normal person if you ask, but not in a professional capacity.
Do I have to talk the whole session?
Not at all. You can take pauses, type slowly, relax and chill, or talk freely, whatever feels natural. If at any point the session doesn’t feel right, you’re free to end it early. This service isn’t something you need to push through. There’s no expectation to stay beyond what feels comfortable.
What can I talk about here?
Anything you’d like, thoughts, feelings, memories, worries, or even small everyday things. There’s no need to be interesting, positive, or put together. You can move at your own pace, and silence is welcome too.The purpose here is companionship. I usually avoid giving opinions unless you request them, since some people prefer a space without judgment or solutions. Some people may already know the solutions to their issue but their circumstances don't allow it.If you ever want perspective from a normal third person, you can ask, just know it’s not professional advice.
Do I need to reveal personal details?
No. You can stay anonymous if you prefer. You don’t need to share your real name, background, or anything you’re uncomfortable with. This is a private space, and I respect everyone’s boundaries.
Can I stay anonymous during the session?
Yes. You may use an alias or nickname. You never have to share personal information unless you want to.
Will I be judged?
No. Colloquium is designed to be a quiet, judgment-free space. You can be yourself, however you feel at the moment.
How do I book a session?
All sessions are booked through Whop. Once you choose a tier, Whop will handle payment and provide your session link (WhatsApp link).• Quiet Hour & Quiet Window → link sent by email after booking
• Weekly Space & Monthly Space → link sent instantly through Whop messagingThe only difference is that Quiet Hour & Quiet Window require a scheduled booking time, while the other two tiers do not.
How do sessions take place?
All sessions take place on WhatsApp, via text only. This keeps the space quiet, gentle, and comfortable with no pressure to speak out loud. Voice or video options may be added in the future, but there’s no plan for that yet.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes. You can cancel or reschedule anytime before your booked session begins for a full refund. Once a session has started or ended, refunds aren’t available. This applies only to Quiet Hour & Quiet Window.
Weekly Space & Monthly Space provide instant access and don’t use a booking schedule.
What if I need urgent emotional support?
Colloquium is not for crisis situations. If you’re in danger, overwhelmed, or need immediate support, please contact your local emergency or mental-health services. I can offer presence and emotional support, but not real-time crisis intervention.
Is everything confidential?
Yes. Your conversations are private and never shared. This is a one-person service, no team, no storage system, no third-party handlers.
What if I don’t know what to say?
That’s fine. Many people begin quietly, or with small thoughts. There is no pressure to perform or anything, we can ease into the conversation together.
What if English is not my first language?
That’s completely fine. You can write however you’re comfortable. Casual, simple, broken English, anything. This space isn’t about perfection.
Can I speak any language other than English?
Unfortunately, English is the only language I can confidently provide this service in. I know bits of other languages, but not enough to offer a full experience. My apologies in advance.
